Steri-Clean began operation in 1995 and cleans on average around 15 hoarding houses per month. While working as a firefighter/paramedic, owner Cory Chalmers realized the need for a company to assist hoarders and families of hoarders that were faced with the overwhelming task of cleaning  and organizing a cluttered home. Cory has since promoted to Captain on his fire department and his knowledge of municipal codes pertaining to code enforcement issues is invaluable. He can show you how to get deadlines extended if you have been cited and will work closely with any city/county officials to make sure you pass your next inspection. 

Corys wife, Tammy Chalmers has studied hoarding extensively and regularly  speaks at seminars, training programs, and conferences. She has become a compassionate and influential spokesperson in the industry. Cory and Tammy are both available to meet with you or your loved one to discuss your individual needs. Remember, we are on your side an we can get you through this. Our company is comprised of approximately 1/2 female and 1/2 male employees. We have found that certain individuals respond better to a male than a female or vice versa. We are happy to work with our customers to make this situation as comfortable as possible.

Steri-Clean is proud to be active members of  the NSGCD , NAPO and  and numerous collaborative hoarding task forces. A task force is a group of different entities coming together to try to assist a hoarder and offer resources to get the kind of help they need. It is not an enforcement agency. We are an advocate for the hoarder and do not support enforcement unless necessary in cases of immediate health, life, and safety dangers.
